We had a lot of fun last weekend playing our first show in over a year to raise funds for the Refugee Council. We were so happy to raise over €2000 for them, and it was a real joy to all be back together after such a long time.
As the other show sold out so quickly, we’ve managed to add a second earlier show to our Christmas concert on 19 December at DIY Space for London. This show is all-ages too, but under 18s need to be accompanied by an adult member of DIY Space for London. You can become a member here for £2.
Tickets have been selling very quickly for this second show too, so make sure you don’t miss out if you’d like to come. Tickets are here.
Like you needed another reason to do your Christmas shopping early!
Hope to see you there,
Hello! A lot of people have been asking when we were going to play another show in the UK, so we’ve decided to do a Christmas show at the fantastic DIY Space for London on Saturday the 19th December. The show will be all ages and you can buy tickets here. You can become a member of the DIY Space for London for only £2 online.
Our show in Florence for the Refugee Council has already sold out, so thank you to everyone who bought tickets. We hope to raise a lot of money for them.
We will also be performing as part of Josie Long and Robin Ince’s Utter Shambles at the Bloomsbury Theatre on 18th December, but that show has also sold out already.
Hope to see you in London!
Hello! Goodness it’s been a long time since we updated this site. After touring our record intensely last year, we’ve been busy doing other things in 2015. Bill’s made a beautiful single and been playing shows in London. Paul’s been busy with Tigercats, and also designing records for a bunch of people. Mike has teamed up with our tour manager Al, and they’ve been running their own recording studio in Ramsgate, where they’ve been making lots of hit records!
I’ve been in Florence teaching English, writing songs here and there. I’m going to release some more songs via Bandcamp in December, very low key and with the help of just a friend or two.
We’ve all been moved by the refugee crisis this summer, so we’ve decided to get together again and play a fundraising concert on November 6th. The concert will take place at the European University Institute, in Fiesole, just outside Florence. We’ve already sold many tickets, but if you’d like to come we still have a few left. You can email us to reserve a ticket. We’re hoping to raise lots of money for the Refugee Council in London. After reading about how many asylum seekers face homelessness after being granted asylum in Britain,
we felt like the Refugee Council was the most appropriate place for us to send our funds to.
We hope to see you Nov 6th, or at least in the not too distant future.

Today at 7pm London time/2pm NYC time we’ll be hosting a Q+A on our Facebook page. Ask us anything you like about the new album, old albums, touring or whatever else you’d like.
Our new album is now streaming on Pitchfork. You can listen to it here.
Elizabeth did a long interview with Stereogum last week about the new album. You can read that here.
This was recorded in a secondhand bookstore in Zagreb in June, when Elizabeth was playing some solo shows in Serbia and Croatia. The songs played are Romance and Adventure and Kings and Queens.
